KUZEY YILDIZI ASSOCIATION ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY
Purpose and Scope
As Kuzey Yıldızı Association, we consider combating corruption and preventing all forms of illegal activities to be a fundamental responsibility. This policy aims to establish a common understanding and approach to combat corruption among all employees, members, and stakeholders of the association. This document outlines the association’s commitment to anti-corruption efforts and explains the relevant processes.
Definitions
1- Corruption: Acting outside of honesty, transparency, and ethics with the intention of abusing authority, gaining unfair advantage, or causing harm to others.
2- Suspicious Situation: Situations that may be related to corruption or indicate corruption, characterized by questionable accuracy or honesty.
3- Whistleblowing: Reporting corruption or suspicious situations.
Policy Principles
1- Transparency and Accountability: Kuzey Yıldızı Association commits to conducting all activities transparently and adhering to the principle of accountability.
2- Zero Tolerance for Corruption: The association follows a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and does not pardon those involved in corruption.
3- Internal Control and Risk Assessment: Effective internal control systems are established to prevent corruption, and regular risk assessments are conducted.
4- Education and Awareness: Employees, members, and stakeholders support the increase of awareness levels in anti-corruption efforts by receiving regular training.
5- Whistleblowing and Confidentiality: Suspicious situations or reports of corruption are treated confidentially, ensuring the safety and anonymity of the reporter.
6- Compliance with Relevant Legislation: The association fully complies with the relevant legislation in its anti-corruption efforts.
Anti-Corruption Process
1- Reporting Suspicious Situations: All employees, members, and stakeholders can report suspicious situations or reports of corruption in writing or directly to the Board of Directors.
2- Evaluation of Reports: Reported suspicious situations or allegations of corruption are promptly and impartially evaluated.
3- Investigation: In necessary cases, an investigation committee may be formed, and allegations of corruption are thoroughly examined.
4- Appropriate Measures: If corruption is found after investigation, appropriate measures are taken, and relevant legal authorities are notified.
5- Corrective Measures: Corrective measures are taken to prevent potential recurrence based on the results of the anti-corruption process.
6- Reporting and Monitoring: The Board of Directors takes necessary measures to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-corruption processes and to report regularly.
Violations and Consequences
Kuzey Yıldızı Association will take serious measures against individuals who violate this policy. In case of violation, internal disciplinary mechanisms are activated, and legal processes may be initiated.
