Our project named “Giresun Children’s Traffic Education Park”, which we prepared within the scope of the 2022 grant program of the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior, was entitled to receive support.
The aim of our project; To ensure that especially preschool children and primary and secondary school students studying in Giresun Center and Districts learn traffic rules and gain habits; It is to allow students to apply the theoretical traffic knowledge they have learned in the lessons to realize the traffic environment that is encountered at any time outside the school in this park, to help them gain behaviour in accordance with the traffic rules, thus to create a traffic culture and to minimize traffic accidents.
In addition, within the scope of the project, by institutions for children and students, Giving 112 Emergency Call, Healthy Life, Disaster and Emergency Safety, Fire Safety, Environment and Zero Waste trainings theoretically and practically, so that after the training, children can become danger hunters in a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being in traffic, at home. Being aware of the dangers they are exposed to at school, in the park and wherever they are, we aim to develop and maintain healthy and safe behaviours by developing their basic skills on ways of protection.
In the Children’s Traffic Education Park, which is planned to be built on an area of 6 thousand 959.96 square meters;

- beach trail,
- social facility,
- amp,
- miniature structures,
- rest areas and
- simulation building
The above areas will be located in this park so that children can learn the traffic rules with fun, and parents will be able to benefit from the social areas in the education park.
